Designation: Head of Finance & Accounts

Location: Kolkata (Work from Office)

Experience: 5 years experience if Chartered Accountant(preferred) or 10 - 15 years of Finance Experience.

Compensation: ₹12–16 LPA

Role Overview

Earth ON Foundation is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented finance leader to oversee accounting, statutory compliance, grant management, donor reporting, financial planning, and strategic finance functions across the organization's operations and entities in India, the United States, the Netherlands, and Singapore.

We strongly prefer Qualified Chartered Accountants (CA) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or candidate should possess at least 10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, audit, grants, or compliance roles.

The ideal candidate will be capable of balancing operational excellence with strategic financial management while supporting climate and sustainability initiatives. The role offers exposure to grants, blended finance, donor-funded projects, startup ecosystems,



international financial operations, and board-level financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Accounting
Lead end-to-end accounting operations, monthly and annual financial closures, and MIS reporting across Earth ON. Prepare budgets, cash flow forecasts, fund-flow projections, and financial plans. Monitor organizational financial performance and recommend improvements to leadership. Ensure consistency in financial processes, reporting standards, and governance across all entities. Statutory Compliance & Audit
Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including FCRA, Income Tax, GST, TDS, Companies Act, CSR regulations, and other relevant laws. Coordinate statutory, internal, donor, and financial audits across multiple jurisdictions where applicable. Maintain robust documentation, internal controls, and financial governance processes.
