Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operations: Direct the decontamination, cleaning, assembly, packing, and sterilization of reusable medical devices.
- Quality & Compliance: Maintain adherence to standards like NABH, JCI, or ISO, and lead infection prevention protocols.
- Staff Management: Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate sterile processing technicians and support staff.
- Equipment Oversight: Monitor the performance, validation, and routine maintenance of autoclaves, washer-disinfectors, and sterilization units.
- Inventory & Budget: Manage departmental inventory, surgical instrument sets, consumables, and budgetary needs
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Partner with perioperative services, operating theatres, and nursing units to guarantee the timely supply of sterile goods.
