Management Intern
Sense International India (Sense India)
Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat (Head Office)
Job Type: Full-time Internship
Duration: 3–6 months (extendable based on performance and organisational needs)

About Sense International India

Sense International India (also known as Sense India) is the only national-level organisation dedicated to supporting children and adults with deafblindness and multiple disabilities. Established in 1997, we work across 25 states through a network of partner organisations, reaching over 84,000 people. Our work focuses on early intervention, education, vocational training, livelihood support, capacity building, advocacy, and research so that persons with deafblindness can become full and active members of society.

Role Overview

We are inviting applications for Management Interns to support key organisational verticals. Selected candidates will be placed in one of the following teams based on their preference, academic background, skills, and organisational requirements:

- Human Resources (HR)
- Advocacy & Networks
- Accounts & Finance
- Mental Health & Research

This is a structured, hands-on internship designed to give exposure to professional processes in a national-level development organisation working on disability inclusion and rights.

Key Responsibilities

Common responsibilities across all verticals:

- Support day-to-day operations and documentation of the assigned vertical.
- Assist in data collection, organisation, tracking, and basic analysis.
- Help prepare reports, presentations, meeting notes, and internal communication.
- Maintain accurate records and support process compliance.




- Coordinate internally with team members and contribute to ongoing projects.
- Handle information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Take up additional tasks assigned for learning and operational support.

Department-specific exposure (indicative):

HR

- Support recruitment coordination, documentation, and candidate communication.
- Assist with onboarding formalities, employee records, and HR trackers.
- Help with basic policy documentation and internal coordination.

Advocacy & Networks

- Support research, documentation, and preparation of advocacy materials.
- Assist in stakeholder mapping, network coordination, and event/logistics support.
- Help track engagements and maintain related records.

Accounts & Finance

- Assist with voucher preparation, documentation, and record maintenance.
- Support basic data entry, reconciliations, and audit readiness processes.
- Help with filing, organisation of financial records, and process support.

Mental Health & Research

- Support literature review, data organisation, and basic research documentation.
- Assist in preparing summaries, reports, and knowledge materials.
- Help with coordination related to mental health and research initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

- Pursuing or recently completed graduation / post-graduation in any discipline (preferably Management, Social Sciences, Commerce, Psychology, Human Resources,



Public Policy, or related fields).
- Strong interest in the development sector, disability inclusion, or social impact work.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English (Hindi is an advantage).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work collaboratively.
- Willingness to work full-time from the Ahmedabad office and learn organisational processes.

- Clear preference and genuine interest in one or more of the listed verticals.
- Prior internship, volunteering, or project experience (desirable but not mandatory).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
- Proactive attitude and openness to feedback.

Pay: Up to ₹1,000.00 per month
