Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee all stages of natural leather processing — from raw hides to finished leather. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth production flow, maintain high-quality standards, and achieve optimum efficiency in tanning, dyeing, and finishing operations while adhering to environmental and safety norms.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Execution

- Plan and monitor the entire leather production process including soaking, liming, tanning, dyeing, drying, and finishing.
- Ensure production targets are met within specified timelines and quality parameters.
- Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of hides, chemicals, and other raw materials.
- Monitor machine utilization and manpower allocation for maximum efficiency.

2. Quality & Process Control

- Implement and maintain strict quality standards at every stage of leather processing.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure consistency in color, thickness, texture, and finish.
- Troubleshoot defects such as uneven tanning, poor dye penetration, or finish inconsistencies.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure customer specifications are met.

3. Process Improvement & Cost Management

- Continuously optimize chemical usage, water consumption, and energy efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and rework.
- Ensure proper maintenance of machinery and production equipment to minimize downtime.

4. Team Management





- Supervise and train production supervisors, technicians, and operators across different departments.
- Maintain discipline, safety, and hygiene on the factory floor.
- Build a motivated and skilled workforce focused on quality and productivity.

5. Coordination & Compliance

- Coordinate with R&D;, quality control, and maintenance teams for seamless operations.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and leather industry standards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management review.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Leather Technology / Chemical Engineering / Industrial Production.
- 7–15 years of experience in leather tanning, finishing, or processing (natural leather).
- Strong understanding of wet-end, crust, and finishing processes.
- Familiarity with environmental and effluent treatment plant (ETP) operations preferred.

- In-depth technical knowledge of natural leather processing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-control abilities.
- Effective leadership and team management skills.
- Good understanding of production planning and quality systems.
- Proficiency in data reporting and MS Office tools.

As per experience and industry standards.

Working Hours:9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 6 days/week

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹16,291.51 - ₹64,513.03 per month
