Job Description – Housekeeping Room Boy

About the Role

The Housekeeping Room Boy is responsible for keeping guest rooms and common areas clean, while also welcoming guests and assisting them with their luggage and basic requirements during their stay.

Main Responsibilities

- Welcome guests warmly and politely when they arrive at the property.
- Assist guests with their luggage and safely take luggage to their rooms.
- Show guests to their rooms and explain basic room facilities when required.
- Clean and prepare guest rooms properly.
- Make beds and change bed sheets, pillow covers and towels.
- Clean bathrooms and make sure they are properly stocked.
- Dust and clean furniture, floors, windows and other areas of the room.
- Refill room supplies such as toiletries, water, tea/coffee and other items.
- Make sure rooms are clean, neat and ready before guests arrive.
- Assist guests with basic requests during their stay.
- Help with extra beds, room arrangements and special guest requirements.
- Collect luggage from rooms and assist guests with luggage when they are checking out.
- Keep corridors, common areas and other assigned areas clean.
- Help maintain cleanliness around the property, including outdoor areas when required.
- Report any damage, maintenance issue or missing item in a room to the supervisor.




- Handle hotel linen, towels, guest belongings and housekeeping items carefully.
- Follow proper hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Work closely with the housekeeping and other hotel teams.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties required for the smooth running of the property.

Important

Patan Mahal is a countryside heritage property, so the Housekeeping Room Boy should be comfortable working indoors and outdoors and helping with different guest requirements.

The main aim of the role is to ensure that guests receive a warm welcome, clean and comfortable rooms, and helpful service throughout their stay.
