Job Title: Data Modeler

About the Role

We are looking for a Data Modeler to design, develop, and maintain scalable data models that support business intelligence, analytics, reporting, and application requirements. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of database design, SQL, data architecture, and data modeling techniques, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models based on business and technical requirements.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient data structures and database designs.
- Create and maintain ER diagrams, data dictionaries, schemas, and data flow diagrams.
- Develop data models for OLTP, OLAP, data warehouses, and data lakes.
- Define relationships, keys, constraints, attributes, and data hierarchies.
- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure data requirements are accurately implemented.
- Optimize database structures for performance, scalability, and data integrity.
- Identify data quality issues, redundancies, and inconsistencies and recommend improvements.
- Support the development of ETL/ELT pipelines, reporting systems, and BI solutions.
- Establish and maintain data modeling standards, naming conventions, and documentation.
- Participate in database performance tuning and optimization activities.
- Ensure data models align with organizational data governance, security,



and compliance standards.
- Review existing data architectures and recommend improvements where required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in data modeling, database design, or data architecture.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Hands-on experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
- Strong understanding of ER modeling, normalization, denormalization, primary/foreign keys, and relationships.
- Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, Star Schema, and Snowflake Schema.
- Experience with data modeling tools such as ER/Studio, Erwin, Lucidchart, or similar.
- Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with dbt and modern data stack technologies.
- Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data lineage.
- Experience working with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases and up-to-date data lake/lakehouse architectures.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Udaipur, Rajasthan
