Compliance Officer
We're looking for a vigilant, principled Compliance Officer to oversee process adherence and quality of work across our group of organizations — SAM (Facility Management), Sukhmani (Construction), PetPro (Veterinary Hospitals), and others. This role suits someone with a sharp eye for detail, the integrity to call out gaps regardless of who's involved, and the ability to operate independently across very different business environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct periodic and surprise checks across SAM sites, Sukhmani construction sites, PetPro hospitals, and other group entities to verify processes are being followed as defined
- Independently assess whether the quality of work delivered — not just paperwork — meets defined standards at each organization (e.g., housekeeping/security standards at SAM, construction quality/safety at Sukhmani, clinical and hygiene protocols at PetPro)
- Cross-verify ground reality against SOPs, checklists, and reports submitted by site teams/QA to catch discrepancies between what's reported and what's actually happening
- Identify process violations, quality shortfalls, and compliance risks; document findings with evidence (photos, notes, checklists)
- Flag critical or repeat issues to management with clear root-cause observations, independent of internal QA or operations teams
- Track closure of flagged issues across organizations; escalate unresolved or recurring non-compliance
- Maintain a centralized compliance log/tracker across all organizations in Excel/app-based tools
- Review and periodically audit internal QA/audit reports themselves, to ensure QA teams at each organization are doing their job accurately and not rubber-stamping
- Stay updated on statutory, safety, and industry-specific compliance requirements relevant to each business (labour law, construction safety norms, veterinary/clinical regulations, etc.) and flag gaps
- Prepare periodic, cross-organization compliance reports for leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and repeat offenders
- Recommend process improvements or corrective frameworks where systemic issues are found
Requirements
- Proven experience in compliance, audit, quality assurance, or governance roles — ideally spanning more than one industry or business vertical
- Robust analytical and investigative mindset; able to distinguish between "reported as done" and "actually done"
- Comfortable operating independently across diverse environments (facility sites, construction sites, veterinary hospitals) without needing hand-holding
- Robust command over MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, dashboards) and app-based audit/reporting tools
- High personal integrity and willingness to report unfavorable findings, including about internal QA or operations teams
- Excellent documentation and report-writing skills
- Willingness to travel across sites/locations as required, sometimes unannounced
Preferred
- Prior experience in a multi-industry or multi-entity group handling compliance/audit across different business types
- Familiarity with statutory/regulatory frameworks relevant to facility management, construction, or healthcare/veterinary sectors
- Certification in quality/compliance/audit (e.g., ISO auditing, Six Sigma) is a plus
- Bachelor's degree (any stream); relevant certifications an advantage
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
