About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Costing & Estimation Engineer to handle project costing, estimation, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and tendering activities for electrical, civil, and EPC projects. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, analytical skills, and practical experience in preparing competitive and accurate project estimates.

Candidates with experience in private infrastructure and EPC projects will be preferred.

Qualification

- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in costing, estimation, and tendering.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and estimation-related tools/software.
- Experience in electrical, civil, infrastructure, or EPC projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and quantity take-offs for electrical, civil, and EPC projects.
- Study and analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical requirements.
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from drawings and tender documents.
- Prepare rate analysis, cost sheets, material costing, and labour costing.
- Obtain, evaluate, and compare quotations from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with procurement, project, engineering, and site teams to obtain accurate pricing and technical inputs.
- Prepare techno-commercial bids, tender documents, and commercial submissions.
- Evaluate overall project costs, margins, profitability, and budget requirements.
- Assist in preparing revised estimates, variation orders, extra-item rates, and cost comparisons.
- Maintain estimation databases, vendor quotations, rate libraries,



and historical project cost records.
- Analyze market rates and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Support management during pre-bid meetings, client discussions, negotiations, and tender clarifications.
- Ensure estimates are prepared accurately and submitted within strict tender deadlines.

Required Skills

- Excellent knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, costing, and rate analysis.
- Strong understanding of electrical and civil construction activities.
- Good knowledge of HT/LT electrical works, panels, cables, transformers, substations, and associated electrical works.
- Knowledge of CPWD, DSR, SOR, market rates, and applicable pricing practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of ERP / estimation software will be an added advantage.
- Robust analytical and numerical skills.
- Good negotiation and vendor coordination skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight tender submission deadlines.
