Experience: 1–3 years preferred; freshers with strong technical knowledge may be considered

Job Summary

We are looking for an NPD Engineer to manage the development of recent automotive components from initial customer requirements through successful production launch. The candidate will coordinate with customers, production, quality, tooling, purchase and suppliers to ensure that new products are developed within the required quality, cost and delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Study customer drawings, specifications and requirements and understand part function, material, dimensions, tolerances and special characteristics.
- Conduct manufacturing feasibility studies and identify process requirements, potential manufacturing difficulties, tooling requirements and development risks.
- Prepare and maintain NPD documentation including feasibility reports, process flow, control plans, PFMEA, BOM and other development documents.




- Coordinate tooling and fixture development with the tool room and external suppliers, including dies, jigs, gauges and inspection fixtures.
- Plan and conduct development trials and first-off trials, coordinating with Production and Quality to ensure parts meet drawing and customer requirements.
- Coordinate sample development and submission including prototype samples, ISIR/PPAP documentation, dimensional reports and material/test certificates.
- Work closely with customers on technical requirements and development changes, clarifying drawings, specifications, deviations and engineering changes.
- Identify and resolve development issues through root cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions with Production, Quality, Tooling and suppliers.
- Monitor NPD project timelines and ensure samples, tooling, trials, testing, approvals and production launch are completed as per committed schedules.
- Successfully hand over approved new products to Production, ensuring that the process, tooling, inspection requirements, documents and lessons learned are properly transferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
