he Art Therapist will use drawing, painting, craft, music-related art activities, clay work, and other creative techniques to support the emotional, social, cognitive, and developmental needs of children with special needs. The therapist will plan individualized activities according to each child's abilities and work as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct art therapy sessions for children with special needs.
- Assess each child's interests, abilities, participation, and responses to different art activities.
- Develop individualized and group-based art therapy activities.
- Use drawing, painting, coloring, clay, craft, collage, and other creative activities to encourage self-expression.
- Support improvement in attention, concentration, communication, social interaction, and emotional expression.
- Encourage creativity, confidence, independence, and participation.
- Modify activities according to the child's developmental level and specific needs.
- Maintain a protected, welcoming, and child-friendly therapy environment.
- Observe children's behavior and progress during therapy sessions.
- Maintain proper session records, progress notes, and activity reports.
- Coordinate with parents, teachers, occupational therapists, speech therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and other professionals.
- Participate in case discussions and multidisciplinary meetings when required.
- Educate parents/caregivers on suitable creative activities that can be continued at home.
- Maintain art materials and ensure proper use and storage of therapy equipment.
- Follow institutional policies, child-safety procedures, confidentiality requirements, and professional ethics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Art Therapy, Fine Arts, Psychology, Special Education, Rehabilitation, or a related field.
- Certification or specialized training in Art Therapy is preferred.
- Experience working with children with special needs is desirable.
- Knowledge of developmental and behavioural needs of children with disabilities is an advantage.

- Coordination with the multidisciplinary team.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 per month
