Job Description – Design Head

Job Summary

The Design Head will be responsible for leading the design function, driving creative direction, and ensuring the successful delivery of interior design projects from concept to execution. The role requires solid leadership, design expertise, and the ability to manage teams, clients, and multiple high-value projects while maintaining quality, timelines, and budget adherence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design Leadership

- Lead and oversee the entire design team, ensuring high-quality output and consistency across projects.
- Define and drive the creative vision, design standards, and overall design strategy of the organization.
- Review and approve design concepts, layouts, working drawings, and presentations before client submission.
- Manage multiple projects within defined timelines and quality standards.
- Create innovative and impactful designs that add value to projects.
- Ensure all designs align with client requirements, brand standards, and functional feasibility.

2. Project Management

- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within defined budgets and quality benchmarks.
- Act as the primary escalation point for design-related challenges and provide effective solutions.
- Conduct regular site visits and oversee material selections.
- Create and maintain a standard design library for faster and more efficient work.
- Collaborate closely with clients, senior stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.

3. Technical & Execution Coordination

- Oversee preparation of detailed drawings including layouts, elevations, and service drawings.
- Ensure strong coordination between design, execution, and vendor teams.
- Monitor site progress through periodic reviews and ensure design intent is maintained during execution.




- Establish and implement design processes, SOPs, and best practices.

4. Team Management

- Mentor, guide, and develop the design team to enhance creativity, productivity, and technical capabilities.
- Manage a design team of approximately 15–20 designers.
- Ensure effective allocation of projects and resources across the design team.
- Promote a system-oriented approach to design management and project delivery.

5. Design Innovation

- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, materials, and technologies.
- Introduce innovative design concepts, materials, and technologies into projects.
- Maintain high standards of creativity, functionality, and execution feasibility.

- System-oriented approach with knowledge of ERP, MIS, and related processes

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture

Experience & Additional Requirements

- 8–12+ years of experience in interior design.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
- Experience handling high-value residential and/or commercial projects.
- Experience working in a high-volume project workplace.
- Experience managing 15–20 designers.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to Mumbai and Hyderabad as required.
- Strong analytical and practical thought process, with the ability to demonstrate independent thinking and decision-making during assignments.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month
