Chartered Accountant / CMA – Finance Operations
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Location: On-Site / Work from Office – Mandatory

Salary: ₹40,000 – ₹70,000 per month
We are seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) to manage the financial operations of our engineering and consultancy business, which is engaged in projects related to immovable property.
The role is strictly focused on cash flow management and finance operations and does not involve legal or tax compliance work, which is handled separately.
The candidate will work on-site and will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, project-wise financial planning, working capital, banking relationships and management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day cash flow planning, monitoring and forecasting across ongoing engineering and consultancy projects.
- Prepare and maintain rolling cash flow statements, working capital projections and fund flow analysis.
- Monitor receivables and payables to ensure optimal liquidity and timely collections from clients.
- Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for working capital limits, term loans and project financing.
- Track project-wise costing, budgeting and variance analysis in coordination with project and engineering teams.
- Prepare MIS reports, financial dashboards and periodic reports for management decision-making.
- Oversee fund allocation and disbursement for ongoing property-related engineering projects.
- Liaise with vendors, contractors and clients regarding payment schedules and financial terms.
- Support management in evaluating project profitability, cost control and financial feasibility of new engagements.
- Maintain banking relationships, manage overdraft/CC accounts and optimise interest costs.
- Assist in budgeting, financial planning and capital expenditure evaluation.
- Coordinate with the accounts team for reconciliation of books, ledgers, bank accounts and other financial records.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) – Mandatory.
- 1–3 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Relevant experience in financial management, preferably in engineering, construction, real estate or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong hands-on expertise in cash flow management, working capital optimisation and financial forecasting.
- Proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books/Zoho ecosystem or similar ERP/accounting software.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to prepare financial models, MIS reports and management dashboards.
- Strong understanding of project financing, banking operations and fund management.
- Good communication and coordination skills for dealing with banks, vendors, contractors, clients and internal teams.
- Strong analytical, financial planning and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Attributes
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Prior experience in immovable property, real estate, engineering or construction-related businesses.
- Experience in project-wise costing, budgeting and profitability analysis.
- Hands-on experience with CC/OD accounts, working capital facilities and bank financing.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
- Willingness to work on-site and coordinate directly with management and project teams.
