Position: Cook / Kitchen Assistant
Location: Udaipur, Rajasthan
Work Type: Full-Time – Private Household
Family Size: Approximately 6–7 Members
Working Hours: 8:00/8:30 AM to 10:00 PM
Afternoon Break: Approximately 1.5 hours
Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹25,000 per month, depending on experience and skills
Experience: 2–5 years preferred

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, hygienic, and experienced Cook / Kitchen Assistant to manage day-to-day kitchen activities for a private household of approximately 6–7 family members.

The candidate will be responsible for preparing regular meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, managing kitchen supplies and groceries, and keeping the kitchen and kitchen store properly organized.

Key Responsibilities1. Cooking & Meal Preparation

- Prepare fresh breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner as required.
- Prepare regular Indian vegetarian and meals as per family requirements.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and food hygiene.
- Prepare tea, coffee, and other beverages as required.
- Follow specific dietary preferences or instructions given by the family.
- Ensure meals are prepared and served on time.

2. Kitchen Assistance

- Assist with daily kitchen activities and food preparation.
- Wash, clean, cut, and organize vegetables and other ingredients.
- Clean utensils, cooking equipment, kitchen platforms, and other kitchen areas.
- Maintain proper hygiene while handling food and cooking materials.
- Assist in serving and arranging meals when required.

3. Kitchen Store Management

- Maintain proper stock of groceries,



vegetables, fruits, spices, cooking oil, and other kitchen essentials.
- Regularly check stock and inform the concerned person about items required for purchase.
- Maintain proper storage of food items and kitchen supplies.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) practices to minimize food wastage.
- Identify and remove expired, spoiled, or damaged food items.
- Keep the kitchen store clean, organized, and properly maintained.

4. Kitchen Cleaning & Hygiene

- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen throughout the day.
- Clean the gas stove, sink, kitchen platforms, cabinets, and other kitchen areas.
- Ensure proper disposal of kitchen waste.
- Maintain personal hygiene and wear clean clothes while working.
- Follow safe food-handling and storage practices.

5. Grocery & Kitchen Inventory Support

- Prepare a list of required grocery and kitchen items.
- Coordinate with the family regarding daily and weekly kitchen requirements.
- Assist in receiving and organizing grocery deliveries.
- Monitor regular-use items and ensure timely replenishment.
- Avoid unnecessary food wastage and maintain economical use of kitchen supplies.

Candidate Requirements

- Previous experience as a Cook, Home Cook, Kitchen Assistant, or Household Cook is preferred.




- Good knowledge of Indian cooking.
- Ability to prepare meals for 6–7 family members.
- Knowledge of basic kitchen hygiene and food safety.
- Should be responsible, punctual, trustworthy, and disciplined.
- Should maintain cleanliness and proper organization.
- Should be polite and respectful towards family members and other household staff.
- Ability to manage kitchen responsibilities independently is preferred.
- Candidates with previous experience in a private household will be preferred.
- Local candidates from Udaipur will be preferred.

Working Schedule

Reporting Time: 8:00 AM / 8:30 AM
Working Hours: Up to approximately 10:00 PM
Afternoon Break: Approximately 1.5 hours

The exact daily schedule may vary depending on the family's meal timings and household requirements.

Salary & Perks

Salary Range: ₹18,000 – ₹25,000 per month

Salary will be decided based on:
