Junior Trade Analyst

Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Trade Analyst to support trade-related activities, data management, reporting, and day-to-day coordination. The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, including experience managing and working with a shared email mailbox.

Knowledge and hands-on experience with Origin will be an added advantage. Exposure to Microsoft Access and SAP will be considered a nice-to-have.

Key Responsibilities

- Support day-to-day trade analysis and operational activities.
- Prepare, maintain, and analyze trade-related data and reports.
- Perform data entry, validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
- Prepare and maintain Excel spreadsheets, trackers, and management reports.
- Monitor and respond to queries received through shared email mailboxes and ensure timely follow-up.
- Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to obtain required information and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation using Microsoft Word and other relevant tools.
- Assist with regular and ad-hoc reporting and data analysis.
- Identify data inconsistencies and escalate issues where required.
- Follow established processes, controls, and documentation standards.
- Support process improvements and other analytical/administrative activities as required.

Required Skills & Experience

- 1–3 years of relevant experience in trade analysis, operations, reporting, data management, or a similar role.
- Robust hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel is mandatory,



including working with formulas, data manipulation, sorting/filtering, PivotTables, and reporting.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word is mandatory for preparing and maintaining documents and reports.
- Strong Microsoft Outlook experience is mandatory, particularly managing and monitoring shared email mailboxes, handling queries, and coordinating responses.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

Valuable to Have

- Origin knowledge and hands-on experience will be an advantage.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Access.
- Exposure to SAP or other ERP systems.
- Experience in trade, finance, commodities, supply chain, or a related operational environment.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant skilled qualification or experience will be an added advantage.
