Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced CNC/VMC SolidCAM Programmer with hands-on expertise in SolidCAM and SolidWorks software. The candidate will be responsible for creating CNC programs, setting up VMC machines, and machining high-precision components for tooling, automotive, and aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and edit CNC programs using SolidCAM for 2.5D and 3D milling operations.
- Utilize SolidWorks for 3D modelling, part design, and program integration with SolidCAM.
- Independently set up and operate Vertical Machining Centres (VMCs).
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and apply GD&T;.
- Select appropriate tools, determine feeds and speed, and optimize machining processes.
- Conduct machine setups, tool offsetting, and perform first-piece inspection.
- Verify toolpaths and simulate programs to ensure dimensional accuracy and machining efficiency.




- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues during production.
- Coordinate with the design and quality teams to achieve required precision and quality standards.
- Maintain detailed records of programs, setup sheets, and tooling data.
- Follow all safety and housekeeping standards on the shop floor.

Required Skills

- Proficiency in SolidCAM (mandatory).
- Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks for 3D modelling and CAM integration.
- Hands-on experience in CNC/VMC programming and operations (Fanuc / Siemens controllers).
- Sound understanding of cutting tools, materials, and machining parameters.
- Good command of G-code / M-code, offsets, and post-processing.
- Proficient with precision measuring instruments such as Vernier Calliper, Micrometre, Dial Gauge, and Height Gauge.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to 4-axis or 5-axis machining.
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or precision tooling environments.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
