Senior Cutting Master / Pattern Master – Premium Menswear

Vastrio is a premium Indian menswear fashion house looking for an experienced Senior Cutting Master / Pattern Master for our Pune production setup.

We need a technically solid and responsible person who can independently handle pattern making, cutting, sampling, fitting and production guidance for premium menswear.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop accurate patterns from designs, sketches, reference garments and measurement charts.

* Strong knowledge of men’s shirt patterns and construction is compulsory.

* Prepare and maintain size grading for S, M, L, XL and XXL.

* Handle accurate fabric cutting with minimum wastage.

* Develop samples before production.

* Identify and correct fitting, measurement and construction issues.

* Understand seam allowances, fabric shrinkage and fabric consumption.

* Strong knowledge of collars, cuffs, plackets, sleeves, armholes, shoulders, yokes, pockets and overall garment balance.

* Guide and supervise tailors/karigars during stitching and production.

* Check measurements, stitching and finishing before final approval.





* Maintain consistent fit and quality across production pieces.

* Coordinate with the founder/design team for new product development.

Must-Have Skills

Pattern Making | Garment Cutting | Pattern Grading | Sampling | Fit Correction | Menswear Construction | Measurement Checking | Quality Control

Candidate should be able to independently handle:

Design β†’ Pattern β†’ Cutting β†’ Sample β†’ Fit Correction β†’ Production

Candidates with experience in premium menswear, designer brands, export houses, made-to-measure garments or high-quality garment manufacturing will be preferred.

This is not an alteration-tailor position. Strong pattern-making and cutting knowledge is compulsory.

Practical trial will be conducted before final selection.
