About the Role

We are looking for a detail-driven and proactive Web Automation & Manual Software Tester to join our development team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for designing and executing both automated and manual test cases to ensure the quality and functionality of our web applications. You’ll work closely with developers and product managers, in a fast-paced Agile environment to catch bugs before they reach our end users.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Testing

- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reusable automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, or similar open-source frameworks.

- Develop test automation for functional, regression, UI, and smoke testing.

- Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

- Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks and ensure test reliability across releases.

- Track and analyze test results and report findings clearly and effectively.

Manual Testing

- Review requirements, specifications, and design documents to create detailed, comprehensive test plans and test cases.

- Execute manual test cases for new features and regression testing.

- Identify, document, and track bugs in tools like Jira,



Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.

- Validate bug fixes and perform retesting and exploratory testing.

- Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and QA retrospectives in Agile environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

- 5 years of experience in web application testing, both manual and automated.

- Proficiency with one or more automation tools: Selenium or similar open-source frameworks

- Strong scripting or programming skills in JavaScript, Python, or Java.

- Positive understanding of HTML, CSS, DOM, and browser dev tools.

- Experience with API testing using Postman or SOAP UI.

- Experience with manual test case design, execution, and documentation.

- Familiarity with bug tracking and test case management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

- Knowledge of BDD tools like Cucumber.

- Experience with performance / load testing tools such as JMeter.

- Familiarity with accessibility testing or cross-browser testing best practices.
