Job Summary
We are looking for a confident, motivated, and student-focused Admission Counsellor to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for handling student enquiries, counselling prospective students, explaining courses and career opportunities, conducting follow-ups, and converting enquiries into successful admissions.
The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, strong convincing ability, and a target-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities
Student Counselling
* Handle enquiries from students and parents through calls, WhatsApp, walk-ins, social media, and other channels.
* Understand students’ educational backgrounds, interests, career goals, and requirements.
* Provide appropriate guidance regarding available courses and programs.
* Explain course details, eligibility, duration, curriculum, fees, learning modes, and career opportunities.
* Address questions, concerns, and objections raised by students or parents.
* Help students make informed decisions regarding their educational and career options.
Admissions & Sales
* Follow up with prospective students and parents through calls and messages.
* Convert qualified leads into confirmed admissions.
* Achieve assigned monthly admission and sales targets.
* Explain admission procedures, fee structures, payment options, and required documents.
* Maintain regular follow-up with leads until the admission process is completed.
* Generate admissions through effective counselling and relationship-building.
* Handle objections and provide suitable solutions to prospective students.
Lead Management
* Maintain accurate records of enquiries and prospective students.
* Update lead status and follow-up details in the CRM or lead management system.
* Ensure timely follow-up with new and existing leads.
* Maintain a proper pipeline of prospective students.
* Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on enquiries, follow-ups, and conversions.
Student Relationship Management
* Build and maintain positive relationships with students and parents.
* Respond promptly and professionally to student enquiries.
* Coordinate with academic, finance, and administration teams for smooth admission processing.
* Provide proper support to students during the admission and onboarding process.
* Maintain confidentiality of student and institutional information.
Required Skills

* Robust follow-up and lead-conversion abilities.

* Ability to handle objections professionally.

* Basic knowledge of MS Office, Google Workspace,
CRM, WhatsApp, and email communication.
Educational Qualification
* Any **Bachelor’s Degree** from a recognized institution.
* Candidates with qualifications in **Business Administration, Psychology, Education, Social Work, or related fields** will be preferred.
Experience
* **1–3 years of experience** in admission counselling, educational sales, telecalling, customer relationship management, or a similar role is preferred.
* Freshers with excellent communication and convincing skills may also apply.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Monthly admission target achievement.
* Lead-to-admission conversion rate.
* Number of leads contacted and counselled.
* Follow-up efficiency.
* Student and parent satisfaction.
* Revenue/fee collection contribution.
* Accuracy and timely updating of lead records.
