Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, maintain, and repair biomedical and medical equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to schedules.
- Conduct equipment inspections, calibration, and performance testing.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and coordinate with vendors for complex repairs.
- Maintain accurate equipment records, service reports, and maintenance logs.
- Ensure medical equipment complies with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Assist clinical staff with equipment operation and provide user training when required.
- Evaluate recent medical equipment and provide technical recommendations for procurement.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support hospital accreditation, audits, and biomedical safety programs.
- Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, hospitals, and clinical departments.
- Follow electrical, radiation, infection-control, and workplace safety procedures where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Electronics, Electronics & Instrumentation, or a related field.
- Knowledge of medical equipment, electronics, instrumentation, and basic troubleshooting.
