Sports Officer – Job Description:

Job Summary

The Sports Officer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing sports and physical education activities in the school. The role involves promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and overall development among students.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and conduct sports, fitness, and physical training activities.
- Organize inter-house, inter-school, and annual sports events.
- Coach, mentor, and identify talented students.
- Prepare sports schedules and training programs.
- Maintain sports equipment, facilities, and inventory.
- Supervise students during sports activities and competitions.
- Coordinate participation in district, state, and national-level competitions.
- Maintain records of student participation and achievements.
- Promote discipline, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship.
- Ensure safety during all sports activities.
- Coordinate with teachers, parents, management, and external coaches.




- Conduct fitness assessments and support students' physical development.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or Master's degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) preferred.
- Relevant certification in sports/coaching will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of multiple indoor and outdoor sports.
- Valuable communication, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Experience

- 2–5 years of relevant experience in school sports, physical education, coaching, or sports administration preferred.
- Experience in organizing school-level and inter-school sports events will be an advantage.
