Bakery Assistant – Job Description

Job Title: Bakery Assistant
Department: Bakery
Reports To: Head Baker / Bakery Manager

Job Summary:

A Bakery Assistant supports the daily operations of a bakery by helping prepare baked goods, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting customers. They ensure products are made fresh and presented attractively.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in preparing ingredients for baking (measuring, mixing, etc.)
- Support bakers in making bread, cakes, pastries, and other items
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Pack and label bakery products properly
- Arrange and display items neatly in the shop
- Assist customers with orders and provide friendly service
- Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor when supplies are low
- Follow hygiene and food safety standards

Skills & Requirements:





- Basic knowledge of baking is a plus
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions carefully
- Attention to detail
- Physical stamina (standing for long hours)
- Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays

Qualifications:

- Minimum: High school (10th/12th pass)
- Experience in bakery or kitchen (preferred but not mandatory)

Work Environment:

- Bakery kitchen and retail shop
- Fast-paced and sometimes hot environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
