Job Title: Registered Pharmacist

Job Summary :

The Registered Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medicines safely and accurately, providing information to patients and healthcare professionals, maintaining proper medication records, and ensuring compliance with applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Dispense prescription and non-prescription medicines accurately.
- Verify prescriptions for correct dosage, drug, strength, and instructions.
- Counsel patients on the proper use, dosage, storage, and possible side effects of medicines.
- Maintain accurate records of medicines dispensed and inventory transactions.
- Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, and storage conditions of medicines.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of temperature-sensitive and controlled medicines as required.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication-related matters.
- Identify and report potential drug interactions, allergies, or medication errors.
- Maintain pharmacy cleanliness, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Follow applicable laws,



professional standards, and organizational policies.
- Participate in inventory audits and assist with procurement when required.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and prescription information.

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the relevant State Pharmacy Council.
- Current registration/renewal as required by applicable regulations.
- Good knowledge of medicines, dosage forms, drug interactions, and pharmacy practices.

Skills & Competencies :

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and patient-counselling skills.
- Knowledge of pharmacy management and inventory systems.
- Ability to work effectively with doctors, nurses, patients, and other staff.
- Qualified ethics and confidentiality.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
