Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Fabrication Steel Fitter responsible for carrying out steel fabrication, fitting, assembly, and installation activities as per engineering drawings, specifications, and production requirements. The candidate should have strong knowledge of steel structures, fabrication tools, measurements, and fitting techniques.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and measurements.
- Perform cutting, fitting, alignment, and assembly of structural steel components.
- Mark, measure, and prepare steel materials according to required dimensions.
- Carry out drilling, grinding, cutting, and other fabrication-related activities.
- Fit and assemble steel structures and components prior to welding.
- Ensure proper alignment, dimensions, levels, and tolerances of fabricated components.
- Work closely with welders, supervisors, and production teams to complete fabrication activities.
- Inspect fabricated components for dimensional accuracy and quality.
- Operate and safely handle fabrication tools and equipment.
- Identify material defects, fabrication issues, and dimensional discrepancies.




- Maintain workplace safety standards and follow PPE requirements.
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and properly maintained.
- Complete assigned fabrication work within specified timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Fabrication, or a related technical trade preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in steel fabrication and fitting.
- Positive knowledge of structural steel fabrication and assembly.
- Ability to read and understand fabrication/engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as measuring tape, vernier, square, spirit level, etc.
- Hands-on experience with grinders, cutting machines, drilling machines, and other fabrication tools.
- Knowledge of welding fit-up and preparation will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of safety procedures and workplace practices.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a fabrication/industrial environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
