What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a skilled and creatively ambitious Video Editor who can edit both complete microdrama episodes and high-performing promotional content.

The ideal candidate understands storytelling, audience retention, and dramatic pacing—and knows how to use Generative AI tools for video creation and enhancement. You should be equally comfortable shaping a full narrative and turning its strongest moments into trailers, teasers, and performance-marketing promos.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit short-format vertical microdrama episodes, typically 1.5–2 minutes long.
- Create high-impact trailers, teasers, social-media edits, and performance-marketing promos.
- Build strong hooks, emotional peaks, suspense, reveals, and cliffhangers that drive viewer retention.
- Select and restructure scenes to improve narrative clarity, rhythm, and dramatic impact.
- Adapt long-form footage into multiple short-form promotional concepts and variations.
- Integrate music, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, subtitles, and visual effects effectively.
- Use Gen-AI tools to generate or enhance shots, backgrounds, transitions, voiceovers, lip-sync, and other visual elements.




- Write effective prompts and maintain visual and character consistency across AI-generated shots.
- Work closely with directors, writers, promo producers, and the creative team to strengthen storytelling.
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, consistency, and quick turnaround times.
- Organise project files and follow established editing, review, and delivery workflows.
- Stay updated with recent editing techniques, social-content trends, and AI-video-generation tools.

Requirements

- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Working knowledge of After Effects; motion-graphics skills are an advantage.
- Demonstrable experience editing short films, web series, digital shows, trailers, or social-first content.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, emotional build-up, pacing, and audience retention.
- Ability to create promos that establish the conflict quickly and end with strong anticipation.
- Familiarity with vertical-video formats such as Reels, Shorts, and mobile-first dramas.
- Good understanding of Hindi-language content, Indian audience preferences, and popular entertainment formats.
- Hands-on familiarity with Gen-AI tools such as Kling, Google Veo, Sora, Seedance, Higgsfield, Runway, ElevenLabs, or similar platforms.




- Ability to identify where AI can meaningfully improve production speed, cost, or creative quality.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver consistently under tight deadlines.
- Self-driven, collaborative, and receptive to creative feedback.

Valuable to Have

- Previous experience editing vertical microdramas or episodic fiction.
- Experience creating performance-marketing videos or promotional creatives.
- Knowledge of colour grading, sound design, motion graphics, masking, compositing, and VFX.
- Experience generating character-consistent AI visuals or videos.
- Understanding of metrics such as CTR, watch time, retention, CAC, and conversion rate.
- A genuine interest in emotional, dramatic, and character-driven storytelling.
