As we deliver our ambitious 2030 Growth Strategy, we’re looking for a Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs team in India. The role will help ensure that Croda products are developed, manufactured, marketed, imported and supplied in accordance with applicable chemical, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, Industrial and related product regulations.
You will provide timely and accurate regulatory and product safety support across the product lifecycle, maintain compliant product data and documentation, monitor regulatory developments, support registrations and notifications, and work closely with commercial, technical, supply chain, quality and global PSRA colleagues to enable safe and compliant business growth.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline
- Relevant experience in product safety, regulatory affairs, product stewardship or compliance, preferably within speciality chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, personal care or allied sectors
- Working knowledge of Indian and international chemical and product regulations, including classification and labelling, chemical inventories and sector-specific (example, cosmetic or pharma excipient)

- Ability to interpret legislation and technical data and translate requirements into practical business actions
- Experience preparing or reviewing regulatory documentation such as safety data sheets, labels, declarations, certificates, dossiers, registrations and notifications
- Strong digital capability, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suit and experience with SAP or regulatory data-management systems
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working across technical and non-technical functions
- Organised, analytical and detail-focused, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
What you’ll Be Doing:
- Assess applicable regulatory requirements and support compliant manufacture, import, export, marketing and supply of products in India and relevant international markets
- Prepare, review and maintain safety data sheets, labels, regulatory statements, product declarations, certificates and customer compliance documents
- Support product registrations, notifications, licences and regulatory submissions, ensuring information is accurate, complete and delivered on time
- Review product composition, substance identity, intended use and technical data to determine regulatory status, restrictions and compliance obligations for new products
- Maintain accurate regulatory data in company systems and ensure effective document control, traceability and record retention
- Monitor emerging legislation, standards and guidance; assess business impact and communicate explicit actions to relevant stakeholders.
Represent Croda in relevant trade associations
- Respond to regulatory and product stewardship enquiries from customers, authorities and internal teams, escalating complex matters where appropriate.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, R&D;, PD, Quality, Operations and Supply Chain to support new product development, technology transfers, change management, alternate sourcing and market introductions
- Support product risk assessments and continuous-improvement initiatives relating to product safety and regulatory compliance
- Develop and maintain procedures, guidance and training materials, and provide practical regulatory training to business teams
- Collaborate with regional and global PSRA colleagues to promote consistent interpretation, data quality and regulatory best practicexxxx
