PRT Computer Science Teacher

Job Purpose

The PRT Computer Science Teacher will teach basic computer concepts and practical computer skills to primary school students in an easy, interesting, and age-appropriate way.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach Computer Science and basic computer skills to primary classes.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, activities, and assignments.
- Teach topics such as:
- Computer basics
- Parts of a computer
- MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Paint
- Internet and basic digital skills
- Coding and logical thinking
- Basic programming concepts as per the school curriculum
- Conduct practical computer lab activities.
- Encourage students to learn through activities and hands-on practice.
- Maintain student records, notebooks, assessments, and marks.
- Conduct class tests and practical assessments.
- Help students with their computer projects and activities.
- Maintain discipline and ensure proper use of computer lab equipment.
- Integrate technology into classroom learning wherever required.
- Participate in school events, competitions, workshops, and co-curricular activities.




- Communicate with parents regarding students' academic progress when required.
- Follow the school curriculum, rules, and academic guidelines.

Required Qualification

- BCA / B.Sc. Computer Science / B.Tech. / MCA / equivalent qualification.
- B.Ed. / D.El.Ed. or relevant teaching qualification preferred.
- Good knowledge of basic computer applications and educational technology.

Experience

- 1–3 years of teaching experience preferred.
- Freshers with good subject knowledge and teaching skills may also be considered.

Skills Required

- Valuable knowledge of Computer Science and basic coding.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in simple language.
- Good classroom management skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office, Google tools and educational technology.
- Creative and activity-based teaching approach.
- Patience and a positive attitude towards young learners.
