ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY OF PURCHASE - SENIOR ENGINEER Purchase Department (Mechanical Bought-out) and has to consistently demonstrate solid capability in handling both project-related and general consumable procurement activities. He has to agree to take full ownership of the responsibilities outlined below and is committed to executing the role effectively.
Nature of Work:
Planning and procurement of materials as per Bill of Materials (BOM) Coordination with suppliers to ensure timely delivery Quality Control (QC) and inventory management Ensuring smooth operational workflow and tracking progress Identifying and developing alternative sources and validating quality.
Department-Wise Contribution:
Procured materials in line with production requirements Followed up with suppliers for on-time delivery Coordinated with QC and Stores for inbound logistics Addressed supplier concerns and negotiated commercial terms Coordinated with Accounts for advance payments related to budgeted/asset materials to ensure timely supply.
Operations & Logistics: Maintained inventory levels aligned with production needs Managed supplier relationships and logistics activities Worked on material planning and stock optimization .
