Job Description – Heat Treatment Supervisor

Position: Heat Treatment Supervisor
Department: Heat Treatment / Production
Reports To: Production Manager / Plant Head
Location: Karnal

1. Job Purpose

To supervise and control day-to-day heat treatment operations, ensuring that components are processed according to approved process parameters, quality standards, production targets, and safety requirements.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily heat treatment operations, including furnace loading/unloading and related processes.
- Ensure furnace temperature, cycle time, atmosphere, quenching and other process parameters are maintained as per approved specifications.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of heat treatment batches.
- Verify process sheets, furnace charts, batch records and inspection reports.
- Ensure proper identification and traceability of components throughout the heat treatment process.
- Coordinate with Quality, Production, Maintenance and Planning departments to resolve process issues.




- Monitor hardness, case depth, microstructure and other required inspection parameters.
- Investigate process deviations and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure furnaces, quenching systems and associated equipment are operated safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and report equipment abnormalities to the Maintenance team.
- Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in the heat treatment area.
- Ensure compliance with PPE, safety procedures and applicable environmental requirements.
- Train and guide operators on process procedures, safety and quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate production, rejection, rework and downtime records.
- Support process improvement, productivity improvement and reduction of rejection/rework.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹29,000.84 per month
