About the Role

Tatwamayi News is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Sub Editor to join our editorial team for our 24×7 digital news operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit and proofread news content for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and readability.
- Write and edit compelling headlines, captions, and news copies.
- Verify facts and ensure editorial accuracy before publication.
- Monitor breaking news and update stories promptly.
- Rewrite news reports from various sources while maintaining originality.
- Coordinate with reporters, video editors, and the digital/social media team.
- Ensure content follows the organization's editorial standards and guidelines.
- Work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by a 24×7 news operation.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field.
- Strong command of English and Malayalam.
- Excellent editing,



proofreading, and headline-writing skills.
- Good knowledge of current affairs and news trends.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in digital news media will be an advantage.
- Freshers with strong writing and editing skills may also apply.
