Role Summary
OEC is looking for a Certifications & Testing Manager — an all-rounder who can independently read and interpret electrical safety standards, scope and negotiate testing with labs, and drive certification projects end-to-end. This person will also establish SOPs for the certifications function, manage the certifications and testing team, and run OEC's in-house NABL-accredited lab.

Key Responsibilities

Standards & Certification Strategy

- Read, interpret, and apply UL, CSA, and IEC electrical safety standards as required across OEC's evolving product portfolio
- Proactively study recent and revised standards (edition changes, amendments, proposals) and assess their impact on existing listings and products in development
- Build test plans for new products — identifying applicable standards, test methods, and critical-to-quality parameters, and optimizing which sizes/variants get tested to cover full product ranges
- Stay current on the broader electrical certification landscape and bring relevant standards knowledge to new product categories as OEC expands

Testing & Lab Coordination

- Own end-to-end relationships with UL and other third-party labs — from initial scoping and quoting through test execution, deficiency resolution, and final listing
- Negotiate test pricing, timelines, and scope with labs on a per-project basis
- Coordinate sample preparation, submission, and follow-up for all active certification projects
- Maintain a live tracker of all certification projects, stages, and target dates

NABL Lab Management

- Manage day-to-day operations of OEC's NABL-accredited lab: equipment calibration schedules, documentation, and audit readiness
- Ensure lab processes and records meet NABL accreditation requirements on an ongoing basis




- Use the lab for internal pre-compliance testing to reduce failed submissions at external labs

SOPs & Team Management

- Establish, document, and maintain SOPs for the certifications function — test plan development, lab engagement/negotiation process, documentation control, NABL lab operations, and standard-review cadence
- Build and manage a small team (test technicians/certification associates), assigning project ownership and reviewing output
- Train team members on standards interpretation and lab processes; ensure consistency in documentation quality across the team

Documentation & Compliance

- Prepare and maintain test summary documents, technical files, and compliance records for internal and customer/distributor use
- Support responses to customer technical or compliance inquiries
- Maintain organized records of all certificates, test reports, and renewal/follow-up dates

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in product certification/compliance in an electrical manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of UL, CSA, and IEC electrical safety standards, with demonstrated ability to pick up and apply new standards independently
- Prior experience managing or working within a NABL-accredited (or ISO/IEC 17025) lab environment
- Demonstrated experience negotiating directly with test labs (UL, CSA, Intertek, or similar) on pricing and scope
- Experience writing or maintaining SOPs, and managing/mentoring a small team
- Strong project management skills — able to run multiple certification projects in parallel against deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication, comfortable coordinating with international labs and stakeholders across time zones

Preferred

- Broad exposure across multiple UL standard families rather than a single niche
- Experience setting up or upgrading a NABL/ISO 17025 lab scope

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
