About the Role
We're looking for a Coffee Program Manager who can do two things equally well: dream up drinks people want to talk about, and build the systems that let multiple outlets execute them exactly the same way, every time. This role does not include roasting or green coffee sourcing — that sits with our Head Roaster and Quality Team. Your world is the bar: recipes, technique, equipment, training, and the guest-facing experience across every location.
This is a role for someone who gets genuinely excited about a new milk texture or extraction tweak, but who also can't stand watching a great drink get executed inconsistently three miles away.
What You'll Own
Menu & Drink Development
● Design and test new beverages (espresso-based, batch, seasonal, non-coffee) from concept to menu-ready
● Stay ahead of trends and translate them into drinks that fit our brand and margins
● Partner with the Head Roaster and Quality Team to build drinks around each roast's strengths
● Run tastings and calibration sessions to pressure-test new recipes before rollout
Operations & Consistency
● Build and maintain SOPs and recipe specs (dial-in parameters, pour ratios, milk temps, presentation) so every outlet produces the same cup
● Design and run training programs for baristas and shift leads, including onboarding and skill certification
● Set up quality-control checks (cupping, spot audits, secret-shopper visits) across all outlets
● Manage equipment standards and maintenance schedules to eliminate variance from bad kit
● Own recipe costing and pour costs; balance creativity against margin targets
Cross-Outlet Execution
● Visit outlets regularly to audit execution against spec, not just review reports
● Create feedback loops so issues at one location get fixed everywhere, not just patched locally
● Coordinate menu rollouts and timing across all locations so launches land together
● Assist with B2B Accounts and Quality Programs where required
● Conduct Coffee Workshops when required (Customer Facing)
What You Bring
● 3+ years managing a multi-location beverage or coffee program, or equivalent experience running a high-volume single site with clear ambition to scale
● A track record of drinks you've created that actually shipped and sold
● Deep hands-on espresso/bar craft — a genuinely trained palate that can dial in, identify defects, and talk origin characteristics
● Systems thinking: your default is “how do I make this repeatable,” not just “how do I make this valuable once”
● Comfortable building training materials, SOPs, and checklists from scratch
● Basic P&L; literacy — pour cost, recipe costing, labor impact of menu decisions ● Willingness to travel regularly between outlets Nice to Have
● Experience working alongside a dedicated roasting/quality team and large team of Baristas
● Competition or judging experience (barista competitions, cupping certifications)
● Experience launching a new outlet's bar program from zero
● Experience with a range of equipments such as semi-automatic and automatic
