Engineer – Quality, PPC & Product Development

Kamgar Engineering Works India Pvt. Ltd. is a Mumbai-based manufacturer and supplier of railway OHE/electrification products. We are looking for a hands-on, responsible and technically sound Engineer who can independently manage quality, production planning and product-development-related activities in a growing manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Incoming Quality Inspection: Inspect incoming raw materials, components and bought-out items against drawings, specifications and purchase requirements.
- Quality Management System: Maintain and manage the company's ISO/QMS documentation, inspection records, NCR/CAPA and related quality activities.
- Third-Party Inspection: Coordinate and remain present during RITES, customer and other third-party inspections, including preparation of required documents and closure of observations.
- Product Development: Assist in the development and improvement of new products, including drawings, specifications, prototypes, testing and technical documentation.
- Production Planning & Control (PPC): Prepare production plans, monitor material availability and WIP, coordinate with stores and production, and track production against delivery requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
- Identify quality or production issues and take initiative to resolve them.

The Ideal Candidate

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred. Production/Industrial Engineering candidates may also be considered.
- 4–7 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in a small or medium-sized engineering/manufacturing company.
- Practical experience in quality inspection and ISO/QMS.
- Experience dealing with customer or third-party inspections will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, measurements and inspection procedures.




- Exposure to production planning and control.
- Exposure to product development, prototyping or engineering improvements will be an advantage.
- Computer savvy, with good working knowledge of Excel, Word, email and web-based applications.
- Comfortable using AI and up-to-date digital tools for documentation, analysis and problem solving.
- Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.

We do not require a highly theoretical engineer. Practical engineering ability, attention to detail, quality consciousness and the ability to get things done are more important.

Employment

Salary

₹35,000 – ₹50,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
