Job Summary

We are looking for an L1 Resident Engineer to provide first-level IT support at the client location. The candidate will handle day-to-day troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, Windows operating systems and basic LAN connectivity while ensuring incidents are resolved within the defined SLA.

Key Responsibilities

Provide L1 technical support to end users at the client location.

Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers and other IT peripherals.

Install, configure and troubleshoot Windows 10/11.

Perform basic hardware troubleshooting and replacement coordination.

Troubleshoot basic LAN/network connectivity issues.

Install and configure software, applications and peripherals.

Log, update and close service requests/tickets.

Ensure incidents are resolved within defined SLA timelines.

Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate L2/L3 team.





Coordinate with vendors for hardware and peripheral-related issues.

Maintain IT asset and support documentation.

Prepare daily reports on incidents, activities and resolutions.

Follow client and company IT policies and procedures.

Provide professional and customer-friendly support to end users.

Required Skills

Good knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware and peripherals.

Hands-on experience with Windows 10/11 troubleshooting.

Basic knowledge of LAN and networking.

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Basic knowledge of printers and other IT peripherals.

Good ticketing and incident-management skills.

Ability to work independently at a client location.

Good communication and customer-handling skills.

Self-starter with a proactive approach.

Educational Qualification

Any Graduate.

Experience

2–3 years of relevant experience in L1 Desktop Support / IT Support / Resident Engineer role
