About the Role

Kommon School is looking for a hands-on Full Stack Developer to help build, manage, and scale the infrastructure powering our AI-driven communication coaching platform.

This is a hybrid role with approximately 60% DevOps / Infrastructure and 40% Backend Development. You’ll work closely with our engineering team across cloud infrastructure, deployments, backend services, databases, monitoring, and production systems.

What You’ll Work On:

DevOps & Infrastructure

- Set up and manage AWS / GCP / Azure environments
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Manage servers, deployments, scaling, staging, and production environments
- Work with Docker and containerized applications

Monitoring & Reliability

- Monitor performance, uptime, and application logs
- Configure alerts and troubleshoot production issues
- Improve system reliability, availability, and scalability

Backend Development

- Build and maintain REST APIs and backend services using Node.js
- Optimize API performance and response times
- Work with MongoDB or similar databases
- Integrate backend services with frontend and AI modules

Database & Performance

- Manage database performance, backups, and scaling
- Identify bottlenecks and improve system efficiency
- Implement caching and load-handling strategies

Security

- Implement secure access controls and environment configurations
- Manage credentials and secrets securely
- Maintain infrastructure and backend documentation

What We’re Looking For

- Experience with Node.js and backend development




- Basic experience with AWS / GCP / Azure
- Good understanding of Linux and server management
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
- Knowledge of Docker and containerization
- Understanding of REST APIs, networking basics, and asynchronous systems

Good to Have

- Kubernetes / container orchestration
- Nginx, reverse proxies, and load balancing
- Prometheus, Grafana, or other monitoring tools
- Bash / Python scripting
- Experience working with AI/ML or data-intensive applications
