Job Summary

We are looking for an Engineering Manager, Backend who combines strong backend engineering expertise with proven people leadership.

This is a hands-on leadership role involving architecture, software development, technical decision-making, mentoring, and team management.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and develop backend engineering teams.
- Manage performance, career development, coaching, and succession planning.
- Participate in hands-on software development.
- Design scalable and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Lead architecture and technical planning.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance.
- Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Drive CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring, and production excellence.
- Define engineering KPIs and delivery metrics.
- Hire and develop engineering talent.

Required Skills





- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience managing teams with 5+ direct reports.
- Strong hands-on backend development experience.
- Expert-level Java, Scala, or C#.
- Distributed systems and high-availability architecture.
- Production systems experience at scale.
- Strong software architecture fundamentals.
- Agile development experience.
- Solid people leadership and mentoring skills.
