Job Description

Form and Motion is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor with a strong sense of storytelling, pacing, music, and visual aesthetics.

You’ll work on a variety of content including brand films, advertisements, social media videos, reels, corporate videos and promotional content, transforming raw footage into engaging stories that communicate effectively.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit videos for advertisements, brand films, social media, reels and corporate content
- Transform raw footage into polished and engaging visual stories
- Select appropriate shots, music, sound effects and transitions
- Maintain strong pacing, continuity and narrative flow
- Perform basic colour correction, colour grading and audio enhancement
- Create titles, text animations and basic motion graphics when required
- Work closely with the creative and production teams to understand the vision for each project
- Organize and manage footage, project files and other media assets
- Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently
- Deliver high-quality videos within project deadlines
- Stay updated with editing techniques, content trends and visual storytelling styles

Requirements

- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent professional editing software
- Good understanding of storytelling, pacing, shot selection and continuity
- Strong sense of music and its relationship with visual storytelling
- Basic knowledge of colour correction, sound design and audio mixing
- Ability to understand a creative brief and translate it into an engaging edit
- Strong attention to detail




- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- A showreel or portfolio of previous video work is mandatory

Preferred Qualifications

- Degree/Diploma in Film, Visual Communication, Media, Animation or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory
- Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and motion graphics is an added advantage
- Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve and colour grading is an advantage
- Basic understanding of cinematography, camera angles, composition and lighting
- Experience editing short-form content such as Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts
- Previous experience in an advertising agency, production house or creative studio is an advantage
- Freshers with a strong portfolio and good editing fundamentals are welcome to apply
