Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore for an Assistant Professor, Lecturer & Tutor in Operation Theatre & Anesthesia Technology (OTAT). The role involves delivering lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions on OTAT subjects, ensuring that learners gain strong theoretical knowledge and hands-on clinical skills. The faculty member will design and update course materials, prepare lesson plans, and participate in curriculum development aligned with regulatory and accreditation standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring and advising learners, supervising laboratory and simulation-based training, coordinating with clinical partners for internships and clinical postings, and evaluating academic performance through assignments, examinations, and assessments. The role also requires participation in academic administration, involvement in research or scholarly activities, contribution to departmental meetings and quality initiatives, and engagement in outreach or career development programs.

Qualifications

- M.Sc in Operation Theatre & Anesthesia Technology or holding a postgraduate degree.
- Demonstrated expertise in operation theatre procedures, anesthesia techniques, perioperative care, sterile techniques,



and safety protocols in clinical environments.
- Strong teaching, mentoring, and tutorial skills, including experience in delivering lectures, supervising practicals, conducting skill labs, and using learner-centered teaching methods.
- Ability to develop curricula, lesson plans, and assessments that align with institutional standards, accreditation requirements, and current clinical practices.
- Competence in academic administration, record-keeping, and coordination of clinical postings, internships, and learner evaluations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary academic and clinical team.
- Interest or experience in research, publications, conference participation, or scholarly activities in OTAT or allied health fields.
- Familiarity with using educational technology, learning management systems, and basic office software for teaching and documentation.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
