Job Summary

CE Comfort Engineers is looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Design & Engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing HVAC and mechanical MEP systems for industrial and infrastructure projects, ensuring technically sound, cost-effective and coordinated designs.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed HVAC and mechanical MEP designs for industrial and infrastructure projects.
- Perform heat load calculations and HVAC system design.
- Design and size ducting, chilled water piping, ventilation and exhaust systems.
- Select HVAC equipment such as AHUs, FCUs, Chillers, Pumps, Cooling Towers and ventilation equipment.
- Prepare and review GA drawings, schematic drawings, layouts, sections and details.
- Prepare BOQs, equipment schedules, material specifications and design calculations.
- Coordinate mechanical designs with Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Architectural and Structural disciplines.
- Review consultant/client comments and incorporate necessary design modifications.
- Conduct design reviews and identify design clashes and constructability issues.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable ASHRAE, NBC, IS and project-specific standards.
- Support the estimation, procurement and site execution teams with technical inputs.
- Participate in value engineering and optimize system design and project costs.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment selection, technical submittals and approvals.
- Provide technical support during project execution and commissioning.





Required Skills & Experience

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Mechanical/HVAC MEP design.
- Strong experience in HVAC design for industrial projects will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of heat load calculations, duct sizing, chilled water piping and ventilation systems.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Knowledge of Revit MEP and HAP will be preferred.
- Valuable understanding of ASHRAE, NBC and relevant IS standards.
- Experience in preparing BOQ, equipment schedules, technical specifications and design reports.
- Strong MEP coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills with clients, consultants and site teams.
