Senior Software Engineer – iOS (Flutter & Native)

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to help us ship and sustain our mobile app as a high-quality, metrics-driven product built on Flutter and native iOS. You'll work across both new feature development and long-term ownership of an existing production app used by a 10k+ daily active user base — and help take the product into its next generation, including new content capabilities and expanded connected-app experiences.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who can move fluidly between Flutter/Dart and native Swift, cares about production metrics as much as code quality, and has experience owning a mobile app over the long haul — not just shipping a single release and moving on.

What You'll Do

- Build production-grade, shippable features in Flutter and Dart for shared cross-platform functionality
- Write native iOS code in Swift, bridging it into Flutter via platform channels when a capability isn't available in Dart
- Build interfaces using both UIKit and SwiftUI, choosing the right tool based on the iOS versions we support
- Handle the iOS application lifecycle correctly — background modes, state restoration, memory pressure, and permissions across iOS versions
- Implement app-scale state management (Bloc, Provider, or Riverpod) so the app stays predictable as features multiply
- Integrate backend REST APIs and third-party SDKs, handling auth, pagination, offline states,



and error handling without destabilizing the app
- Instrument and act on production metrics (Crashlytics, Firebase, analytics) to drive what gets built or fixed next
- Deliver measurable performance and stability improvements — startup time, crash rate, scroll performance, memory, app size — backed by before-and-after data
- Own the app in production over time — through iOS upgrades, API deprecations, device variation, and regressions
- Run release engineering through App Store Connect and CI/CD: certificates, provisioning, TestFlight, phased rollouts, App Store review, and rollback when needed
- Troubleshoot production issues independently, reproducing and fixing bugs from crash reports and user reports on devices you don't have in hand
- Implement push notifications via APNs, including deep links and permission handling, treating notifications as an engagement surface
- Build offline reading/caching using Core Data or SQLite, keeping local and server state coherent
- Write unit and UI tests so releases don't rely entirely on manual regression
- Own features end-to-end, collaborating closely with backend, product, QA, and design
- Uphold mobile development best practices — architecture, accessibility,



and code standards — even under release pressure

What We're Looking For

- Strong hands-on experience with Flutter and Dart for production (not prototype-quality) app development
- Solid native iOS development experience in Swift, including platform channels/native modules
- Comfortable working in both UIKit and SwiftUI
- Practical experience with Bloc, Provider, or Riverpod for state management at scale
- Experience integrating REST APIs and third-party SDKs in a mobile context
- Experience using Crashlytics, Firebase, or similar tools to monitor and act on production metrics
- A track record of measurably improving app performance and stability
- Experience owning a shipped app in production for 1+ year, through OS upgrades and deprecations
- Experience with App Store Connect, TestFlight, and mobile CI/CD
- Experience with Core Data or SQLite and offline sync
- Experience implementing push notifications (APNs) and deep linking
- Strong testing habits (unit + UI test automation)
- Proven ability to work effectively as a remote contributor — proactive async communication, active participation in standups and technical discussions, responsiveness during core hours (and occasionally outside them), and willingness to spend up to 10 days onsite during onboarding

Nice to Have

- Familiarity with Docker, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB in a WordPress-adjacent workplace
- Experience containerizing environments or working with search/data systems alongside a CMS

Pay: ₹1,400,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
