Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled Home Care Nurse / Caretaker to join our team in Chennai. In this role, you will provide personalized medical and personal care to elderly patients, post-operative patients, or individuals with chronic illnesses in the comfort of their homes. Your core focus will be maintaining patient comfort, monitoring health status, and delivering empathetic bedside care.

Key Responsibilities

- Patient Monitoring: Regularly measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, blood glucose, temperature, pulse, and oxygen levels).
- Medical Assistance: Administer prescribed oral medications, insulin, or basic injections, and manage wound dressings or tube care (for qualified nurses).
- Daily Living Support: Assist patients with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and mobility/transfers.
- Emergency Handling: Recognize changes in patient condition and respond quickly in emergencies by notifying family members and medical practitioners.
- Companionship & Comfort: Offer emotional support, engage patients in gentle conversation, and maintain a clean,



safe, and comforting environment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain a daily log of patient activities, medication schedules, meals, and health updates to share with family members and attending doctors.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education:
- For Registered Nurse: GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) or B.Sc. in Nursing.
- For Caretaker / Nursing Assistant: Diploma/Certificate in Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery (ANM), Home Health Aide (HHA), or relevant bedside care experience.
- Experience: 1–3 years of clinical, hospital, or home healthcare caretaking experience preferred.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Tamil is required for daily communication; basic proficiency in English is preferred for reading medical prescriptions and logs.
- Soft Skills: Deep empathy, patience, strong observational skills, reliability, and respect for patient privacy.
