Container & VM Software Engineer – Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities

- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications running in containerized and virtualized environments.
- Develop backend applications and microservices using Java, .NET, Go, and Python.
- Build responsive and scalable frontend applications using React and Angular.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, API integrations, and service-to-service communication.
- Work with Apigee for API management, API security, policies, traffic management, and lifecycle management.
- Develop and optimize applications designed to run on Docker, Kubernetes, VMs, and cloud platforms.
- Work with Oracle and SQL databases, including schema design, complex queries, stored procedures, optimization, and data integration.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, deployment, and release management.
- Integrate automated testing, code quality, security scanning, and deployment processes into CI/CD workflows.
- Develop highly available, scalable, resilient, and secure microservices-based architectures.
- Troubleshoot application, container, VM, API, database, and deployment issues across development and production environments.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, Architecture, QA, Security, and Product teams to deliver enterprise-grade applications.
- Participate in application modernization initiatives, including monolith-to-microservices transformation and VM-to-container migration.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Devin to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and development productivity.
- Apply Generative AI/LLM capabilities to software development, automation, application modernization, and intelligent engineering workflows.
- Evaluate and implement AI-enabled development practices while maintaining code quality, security,



governance, and maintainability.
- Perform code reviews, technical design reviews, performance tuning, debugging, and production support.
- Follow secure coding, DevSecOps, version control, documentation, and software engineering best practices.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong programming experience in Java, .NET/C#, Go, and/or Python.
- Hands-on experience with React and/or Angular.
- Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture, REST APIs, API gateways, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Apigee or equivalent API management platforms.
- Solid experience with Oracle and SQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containers, and virtual machines.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, Git, automated testing, and deployment automation.
- Experience with cloud-native application development and modernization.
- Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, AI-assisted coding, and AI-enabled software engineering.
- Hands-on exposure to GitHub Copilot, Devin, or similar AI coding/development tools.
- Understanding of application security, API security, authentication, authorization, and secure development practices.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Kubernetes-based platforms such as EKS, AKS, or GKE.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, observability, logging, monitoring, and performance engineering.
- Experience migrating legacy applications from VM-based environments to containers/microservices.
- Experience integrating GenAI/LLM APIs into enterprise applications.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.

Experience

- 8–12 years of overall software engineering experience, with strong hands-on experience in application development, microservices, containers, VMs, APIs, CI/CD, and cloud-native technologies.

Pay: ₹2,500,000.00 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year
