Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer – QMS & PPAP to manage day-to-day Quality Management System, PPAP, APQP, audit documentation and customer quality requirements in an engineering/manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in ISO 9001, IATF 16949, PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow, MSA, SPC, Cp/Cpk, CAPA, 8D and internal/customer audits.

This role is suitable for candidates who are strong in quality systems, documentation, audit readiness and cross-functional coordination, with practical exposure to manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and control QMS procedures, Quality Manual, SOPs, Work Instructions and quality records.
- Manage Master Document List, document revisions, approvals, distribution and record retention.
- Ensure current approved documents are available at points of use and obsolete documents are controlled.
- Maintain customer-specific quality requirements and applicable quality standards.
- Prepare and compile complete PPAP documentation and submission packages.
- Coordinate Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, capability studies, dimensional reports and supporting records.
- Prepare PSW (Part Submission Warrant) and customer-specific submission forms.
- Track PPAP submissions, customer comments, approvals, rejections and resubmissions.
- Maintain approved PPAP packages by part number and revision.
- Coordinate APQP documentation, project timing plans, checklists and action trackers.
- Ensure consistency between Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, Work Instructions, Inspection Standards and customer drawings.
- Maintain Gauge R&R; / MSA studies, SPC records, control charts and process capability documentation.




- Review and document Cp/Cpk results and escalate unstable or incapable processes.
- Use Minitab or equivalent statistical software for quality data analysis where required.
- Prepare annual Internal Audit schedules, audit plans and checklists.
- Coordinate internal audits and track audit findings, corrective actions and closure evidence.
- Support customer and certification audits and provide required documentary evidence.
- Prepare Management Review presentations, minutes and action trackers.
- Maintain CAPA and 8D registers and coordinate corrective-action documentation.
- Track containment, root cause, corrective action, effectiveness and horizontal deployment.
- Maintain FAI and customer-specific product approval documentation.
- Manage calibration records, certificates and instrument traceability.
- Maintain supplier quality documentation, training records and competence matrices.
- Support ERP/MES-based quality documentation and digital QMS workflows.
- Coordinate with Production, NPD, Engineering, Line Quality, Purchase, Stores, Maintenance and other departments.

Candidate Requirements

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline.
- 5–8 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Systems within engineering or manufacturing.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and working knowledge of IATF 16949.




- Proven hands-on experience preparing PPAP documentation and coordinating APQP.
- Practical knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow, MSA, SPC, Cp/Cpk, CAPA and 8D.
- Experience maintaining QMS procedures, records and audit evidence.
- Experience supporting customer and certification audits.
- Strong document-control and revision-control skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple departments and track actions through closure.
- Good written English for quality documentation and customer communication.
- Working exposure to ERP/MES, AI tools and statistical-analysis software.

Preferred Experience

- Experience with overseas customers / export manufacturing.
- Experience in CNC machining or precision engineering will be an advantage.
- Experience handling multiple customer PPAP formats and electronic customer portals.
- Exposure to supplier-quality documentation and digital QMS implementation.
- Internal / Lead Auditor certification will be an added advantage.

Working Conditions

- Approximately 70% QMS / PPAP / audit / documentation and 30% shop-floor verification.
- Regular coordination with Production, Quality, NPD, Engineering, Purchase, Stores, Maintenance and Management.
- Shop-floor visits are required to verify that documented processes match actual manufacturing practices.
- Occasional extended hours may be required during customer/certification audits, PPAP deadlines and major corrective-action activities.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
