AI Systems Design & Automation Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a highly capable, hands-on AI Systems Design & Automation Engineer to work directly with our CEO and core team members to build, integrate, and continuously improve the systems that operate across our business portfolio.

What This Role Is NOT

This is not primarily:

- Website development
- Front-end development
- IT support
- Prompt engineering
- A Zapier-only role
- A project-management role
- A consulting role where you simply recommend solutions

Our businesses include:

- Rooted for Good — DTC skincare and e-commerce
- Delta Precision Group — engineering, GIS, data processing and technical services
- Sourcing Pros — international sourcing and procurement, primarily India → United States

This is not a conventional software-development role.

We will often provide the business objective, workflow concept, or problem we want to solve. Your job will be to translate those ideas into efficient, well-designed, working systems—selecting the right combination of our existing tools, automation platforms, APIs, custom code, databases, and AI.

You should be someone who enjoys figuring out:

What You Will Do
1. Build & Implement Business Systems

Work alongside the CEO and core team to turn business processes and automation concepts into functioning systems.

You will:

- Translate business requirements into technical workflows
- Design system architecture
- Build and deploy automations
- Integrate multiple software platforms
- Develop internal tools and dashboards where appropriate
- Test, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve systems
- Document systems so they remain maintainable

You will be expected to personally build and implement, not simply recommend solutions or manage outside developers.

2. Maximize Our Existing Technology Stack

A critical part of this role is getting significantly more value from the technology we already have.

Our environment includes tools such as:

- Google Workspace / Sheets / Gmail / Drive
- GoHighLevel
- Lead Generators
- Monday.com
- Shopify
- n8n / Make / Zapier
- APIs and webhooks
- AI platforms
- Databases
- Accounting and other business software

You should be excellent at determining how multiple tools can work together, rather than automatically replacing them with new software.

For example:

Google Sheets → API → AI → GoHighLevel → Monday → Gmail

may be a better solution than introducing another standalone application.

3. Implement AI-Powered Automation

Use AI where it genuinely improves a process, including:

- Document and email processing
- Data extraction and classification
- Research and data enrichment
- Supplier intelligence
- Internal knowledge systems
- Reporting and analysis
- Customer communications
- Workflow decision support
- AI agents and assistants

You should understand when AI is appropriate and when a process should remain deterministic, rule-based, or human-controlled.

Accuracy, reliability and auditability matter.

4. Continuously Improve Existing Systems

Once a system is deployed, your job isn't finished.

You will monitor and improve:

- Efficiency
- Reliability
- Speed
- Cost
- Data quality
- User experience
- Error handling
- Integration between systems

We want someone with a continuous-improvement mentality who will naturally see opportunities to make an existing system better.

Supplier email → AI extraction → supplier database → RFQ → quote comparison → pricing calculation → human approval → CRM → follow-up.

Project data → production tracking → QA → employee utilization → project dashboard → automated management reporting.

Rooted for Good

Shopify + marketing + customer + inventory data → automated reporting, alerts and AI-assisted analysis.

The specific systems will evolve as the businesses grow.

First 90 DaysFirst 30 Days

- Learn the three businesses and their existing systems
- Understand key workflows and data flows
- Audit current integrations and automations
- Identify immediate opportunities for improvement; establish a hierarchy of projects/tasks
- Begin implementing priority systems alongside the core team
- Deploy at least one Custom Automation to solve an existing requirement

Days 31–60

- Deploy several meaningful automations
- Improve existing workflows
- Establish integration and documentation standards
- Begin building reusable automation components





Days 61–90

- Take ownership of the automation/integration environment
- Establish monitoring and maintenance processes
- Deliver measurable efficiency improvements
- Develop a prioritized roadmap for further systems development

Compensation

₹8 - 10 LPA, depending on experience and demonstrated capability, plus performance incentives over time.
