Key Responsibilities
1. HR Department Setup
- Conduct HR audits to understand the client’s existing HR practices and gaps.
- Support the Senior HR Manager in setting up HR departments from the beginning.
- Create and implement HR policies, processes, SOPs and employee guidelines.
- Establish employee documentation, personnel files and HR record-management systems.
- Prepare employment letters, offer letters, appointment letters, confirmation letters, warning letters and exit documents.
- Set up attendance, leave, payroll, onboarding and separation processes.
- Develop organizational structures, job descriptions and reporting hierarchies.
- Assist in implementing HRMS and other HR tracking systems.
2. Multi-Client HR Operations
- Independently manage day-to-day HR activities for multiple assigned clients.
- Maintain separate employee records, trackers, reports and action plans for every client.
- Plan priorities and ensure timely completion of client deliverables.
- Coordinate regularly with client management, department heads and employees.
- Provide professional HR support while maintaining confidentiality.
- Ensure that no client deadlines, compliance requirements or employee matters are missed.
3. Attendance and Payroll Coordination
- Maintain attendance, leave and employee master records.
- Collect and verify payroll inputs, incentives, deductions and reimbursements.
- Coordinate with the payroll team, accounts department and client management.
- Address employee queries related to salary, attendance and leave.
- Maintain accurate monthly payroll documentation.
4. HR Policies and Compliance
- Draft and implement HR policies according to the client’s business requirements.
- Support statutory compliance related to PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, gratuity, bonus and other applicable labour laws.
- Coordinate with compliance consultants and client stakeholders.
- Maintain statutory records and compliance documentation.
- Support the implementation of PoSH policies and related processes.
- Keep clients informed about important HR and labour-law requirements.
6. Performance Management
- Assist in creating job descriptions, KRAs, KPIs and performance-evaluation systems.
- Coordinate goal-setting, probation reviews and performance-appraisal cycles.
- Track employee performance and prepare reports for management.
- Support Performance Improvement Plans and employee development initiatives.
7. Employee Relations and Engagement
- Act as a point of contact for employee HR queries and concerns.
- Handle grievances professionally and escalate sensitive matters to the Senior HR Manager.
- Support disciplinary processes, warning letters and corrective actions.
- Plan employee engagement, recognition and retention activities.
- Conduct employee feedback meetings, exit interviews and engagement surveys.
- Maintain a positive and professional working environment at client organizations.
8. Client Visits and Relationship Management
- Visit client offices as per the agreed HR schedule.
- Meet business owners, managers and employees to understand HR requirements.
- Prepare agendas before visits and share action points after meetings.
- Maintain professional relationships with multiple client stakeholders.
- Provide timely updates on HR activities, challenges and pending decisions.
- Represent Honest Hire professionally at every client location.
9. HR Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare weekly and monthly HR MIS reports for each client.
- Maintain recruitment, attendance, payroll, compliance, performance and employee-engagement trackers.
- Record client discussions, decisions, pending actions and completion status.
- Escalate critical issues and risks to the Senior HR Manager on time.
- Ensure accuracy, confidentiality and timely submission of all HR reports.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources is preferred.
Required Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Operations role.
- Practical experience in recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, policies, compliance and employee relations.
- Experience handling multiple clients, business units or locations will be strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in an HR consultancy or HR department setup will be an advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end HR operations.
- Understanding of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Ability to draft HR policies, SOPs, letters and reports.
- Robust client-handling and stakeholder-management skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and HRMS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English and Hindi; Marathi will be an advantage.
- Strong planning, documentation and follow-up abilities.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information.
- Comfortable travelling regularly to client offices.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
