Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Line Quality Leader / Quality Engineer – CNC Machining to lead in-process and line quality activities for precision CNC turned and milled components.

The ideal candidate should have solid CNC machining quality experience, hands-on knowledge of CMM, GD&T;, measuring instruments, process control, Gauge R&R;, 8D, CAPA, PFMEA, PPAP and SPC, along with the ability to manage quality activities across multiple shifts.

This is a shop-floor quality leadership role involving direct involvement in machine-level process control, inspection, measurement systems and corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage in-process and line quality for CNC turning and milling operations.
- Conduct and control first-off inspection, setting approval and patrol inspection.
- Ensure adherence to inspection plans, control plans and sampling requirements.
- Monitor critical characteristics and process capability including Cp/Cpk.
- Manage identification, segregation and traceability of non-conforming material.
- Ensure effective quality control across both shifts through proper handover and monitoring systems.
- Operate and edit existing CMM programs and perform layout inspection.
- Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T; requirements.
- Manage Gauge R&R;, calibration and measurement-system reliability.
- Work with measuring instruments such as VMM, height gauge, micrometer, bore gauge,



plug gauge, snap gauge and surface roughness tester.
- Investigate customer complaints using 5 Why, Ishikawa and Is/Is-Not analysis.
- Drive 8D and CAPA activities toward permanent corrective action.
- Maintain quality records, inspection standards, control plans and work instructions.
- Support PFMEA, PPAP, APQP and quality audits.
- Manage incoming inspection and supplier quality issues when required.
- Lead and develop a team of 2–5 Quality Inspectors across shifts.
- Train operators on self-inspection, drawing interpretation and correct measuring-instrument usage.

Candidate Requirements

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 4–7 years of relevant Quality experience in CNC machining.
- Experience in both CNC turning and milling operations.
- Strong practical knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T.;
- Hands-on experience with CMM and precision measuring instruments.




- Experience in customer complaints, 8D, CAPA and root-cause analysis.
- Ability to work closely with production teams on the shop floor.
- Experience handling Quality Inspectors or a Quality team will be preferred.
- Good written English for preparing quality and corrective-action reports.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in export manufacturing, automotive components, precision machining, IATF 16949, SPC/Cp/Cpk, Six Sigma or CMM software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso or Modus will have an added advantage.

Working Conditions

- Primarily shop-floor based.
- General shift with responsibility for quality performance across both shifts.
- Periodic second-shift visits may be required for quality verification, training and audits.
- PPE is required on the production floor.
- The role involves standing and moving around the production floor for extended periods.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
