About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Development (PD) Merchandiser to join our Home Textile division. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in product development, sampling, sourcing, costing, and buyer coordination within the home textile export industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end product development activities for home textile products such as bedding, cushions, curtains, kitchen textiles, table linens, throws, and other home furnishing products.
- Coordinate with buyers on new developments, design requirements, sample submissions, and approvals.
- Prepare costing sheets and analyze product feasibility.
- Source fabrics, trims, accessories, and other raw materials from approved suppliers.
- Develop and follow Time & Action (T&A;) calendars to ensure timely execution of developments.
- Coordinate with design, sampling, production, quality, and sourcing teams.
- Track sample development status and ensure on-time sample submissions.
- Maintain development records, specifications, BOMs, and buyer communications.
- Conduct market and trend research to support new product development initiatives.
- Negotiate with suppliers for pricing, lead times, and quality requirements.
- Ensure product quality standards meet buyer expectations.

Required Qualifications





- Bachelor's Degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Technology, Textile Engineering, Merchandising, or related field.
- 4 to 8 years of experience in Product Development/Merchandising within the Home Textiles Export Industry.
- Strong knowledge of fabrics, weaving, dyeing, printing, embroidery, and finishing processes.
- Experience handling US/European buyers is preferred.
- Positive knowledge of costing, sourcing, and sample development.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple developments and deadlines simultaneously.
