Job Summary

The Engineering Operations Coordinator will support the Mechanical Engineering team by coordinating prototype development, production activities, engineering builds, vendor interactions, and warehouse operations. The role ensures timely availability of parts, smooth prototype assembly, effective communication with suppliers and manufacturing partners, and seamless execution of engineering activities from development through production.

The Engineering Operations Coordinator will support the Mechanical Engineering team by coordinating prototype development, production activities, engineering builds, vendor interactions, and warehouse operations. The role ensures timely availability of parts, smooth prototype assembly, effective communication with suppliers and manufacturing partners, and seamless execution of engineering activities from development through production.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate prototype builds and engineering sample preparation.
- Support mechanical engineers in day-to-day product development activities.
- Coordinate with vendors for fabricated and purchased components.
- Follow up with EMS/SGS partners on production status and engineering requirements.
- Manage White Label Solution (WLS) sample preparation and dispatch.
- Coordinate engineering builds, prototype assembly, and product testing activities.
- Visit warehouses, EMS facilities, and vendor locations to track material availability and production progress.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of prototype and production materials.
- Coordinate engineering change implementation with internal teams and suppliers.




- Maintain prototype inventory, BOMs, and engineering records.
- Track engineering action items and follow up until closure.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and pilot production activities.
- Assist in resolving day-to-day engineering and production coordination issues.

Required Skills & Expertise

- Good understanding of mechanical product development processes.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Experience working with vendors, EMS partners, and manufacturing teams.
- Knowledge of prototype development and engineering build processes.
- Familiarity with BOMs, engineering drawings, and mechanical components.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Willingness to travel frequently to vendor, warehouse, and manufacturing locations.

Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in engineering coordination, prototype development, production support, or manufacturing operations.
- Experience in an OEM or product development company is preferred.
- Exposure to NPI, prototype builds, vendor management, or EMS coordination is an added advantage.
