YouTube Writer Wanted: Prove You're Not a Robot (Or Using One)

I'm looking for one writer. Not "several qualified candidates." One person who knows how to make someone watch, not because the video kept them from being bored, but because it earned every second.

Here's the deal: I don't care much about your résumé. I don't care where you studied, or whether you've ever officially "written scripts" before. I care about exactly two things.

1.⁠ ⁠You're genuinely creative. Not "I have a vivid imagination" on a cover letter. Actually creative. The kind that shows up in how you think, joke, structure an idea, and notice angles other people walk past.

2.⁠ ⁠Your English is sharp. Rhythm, clarity, a voice that sounds like a person talking, not a template, not a textbook, not a LinkedIn post.

Tick both boxes and you're hired. No degree requirement. No "3 to 5 years experience." No keyword matching.

One more thing, and I mean it: if you run this application through ChatGPT, Claude, or any AI tool before sending it to me, don't bother. I've read enough writing with that AI flavor to spot it rapid: the secure phrasing, the forced enthusiasm, the sentences that sound like nobody in particular said them. If I catch even a whiff of it, that's an automatic no,



permanently. I'm not being paranoid. I'm just telling you upfront so you don't waste your time.

The task (this is your interview)

Pick ONE and send it with your application:

Write the first 20 seconds of a YouTube script, any topic, any niche, that would physically stop my thumb from scrolling.

In 150 words or less, tell me the weirdest thing you've personally noticed about how people actually watch YouTube. Not what an analytics dashboard says. What you've noticed, watching your own screen.

No cover letter needed. Just the task, your name, and a couple of links to writing you're proud of, if you've got them.

Bonus points if it's obvious you actually watch a lot of YouTube. I'll know from how you write about it.

The details

Compensation: 400 INR for starters (1600 words)

Commitment: freelance for starters. Once we believe we are a good fit, we fo have full-time roles.
