MEP Engineer (Electrical) is required to manage the planning, execution, and commissioning of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems across the entire High Rise Luxurious Project.
- Responsible for execution, supervision, inspection, testing, and commissioning of electrical works for high-rise residential buildings.
- Review and implement approved electrical IFC/shop drawings, specifications, BOQ, SLDs, load schedules, and design calculations .
- Coordinate electrical works with architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, ELV, lift, and façade teams .
- Supervise installation of HT/LT panels, transformers, RMUs, DG sets, AMF/ATS panels, busducts, UPS systems, MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, and MCCs .
- Coordinate installation of HT/LT cable trays, trunking, conduits, cable pulling, glanding, termination, and cable dressing .
- Manage electrical distribution systems from utility/transformer/DG sources to residential towers, apartments, amenities, and common areas .
- Supervise installation of lighting, power outlets, appliance points, emergency lighting, external lighting, and landscape lighting .
- Coordinate electrical risers, shafts, busduct/rising mains, electrical rooms, meter rooms, and service areas .
- Review and coordinate floor-wise apartment electrical layouts , including conduits, wiring, DBs, lighting points, sockets, and dedicated power supplies.
- Ensure proper electrical provisions for lifts, HVAC equipment, pumps, fire-fighting systems, smoke-extraction systems, pressurization fans, and other MEP equipment .
- Coordinate electrical requirements for fire alarm, CCTV, access control, intercom, BMS, structured cabling, MATV/IPTV, and other ELV systems .
- Verify cable sizing, voltage drop, load distribution, containment sizing, earthing, and equipment ratings against approved design requirements.
- Supervise installation of earthing and lightning protection systems , including earth pits, earth grids, bonding,
and equipment earthing.
- Conduct inspections and ensure installations comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable electrical codes, and authority requirements .
- Prepare and submit MIR/WIR/inspection requests , checklists, method statements, and testing documentation.
- Coordinate with consultants and subcontractors to resolve technical issues, RFIs, drawing discrepancies, and site coordination problems .
- Monitor subcontractor progress, manpower, material availability, productivity, and work quality to achieve project milestones.
- Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks, and coordination meetings and follow up on outstanding works.
- Supervise electrical testing, including insulation resistance, continuity, earth resistance, polarity, phase sequence, cable testing, and functional testing .
- Coordinate testing and commissioning of panels, transformers, DGs, UPS, busducts, lighting control systems, and other electrical equipment .
- Support integrated testing and commissioning of electrical systems with fire alarm, firefighting, HVAC, lifts, BMS, and life-safety systems.
- Identify site defects and coordinate snagging, rectification, re-inspection, and final closure .
- Maintain accurate daily/weekly progress reports, inspection records, testing reports, material records, and site documentation .
- Review and coordinate as-built drawings, O&M; manuals, test certificates, warranties, and handover documents .
- Coordinate with the client, consultant, main contractor, subcontractors,
and suppliers to ensure safe, timely, and quality-compliant completion of electrical works .
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, PTW/LOTO requirements, secure isolation, and site HSE standards .
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum overall 10+ years experience.
- Minimum 5-8 years experience with High Rise/ Residential building projects.
