Job Summary

SPD Constructions Ltd. is looking for an experienced Store Manager / Store In-Charge to manage the complete store and material management operations at our high-rise building construction project in Bahadurgarh, Haryana.

The candidate will be responsible for material receipt, inspection, storage, inventory control, issue and dispatch, documentation, reconciliation, and coordination with procurement, project, accounts, and vendors. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in managing construction-site stores and a valuable understanding of civil construction materials.

Key Responsibilities Store & Material Management

- Manage day-to-day operations of the construction site store, including receipt, inspection, storage, issue, and dispatch of materials.
- Ensure all incoming materials are received against approved Purchase Orders (POs), Delivery Challans, and Material Requisitions.
- Verify quantity, specifications, condition, and supporting documents of materials received at the site.
- Ensure proper material identification, stacking, storage, preservation, and handling as per material requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, material receipts, issues, returns, transfers, and closing balances.
- Ensure timely issuance of materials to various departments, contractors, and site teams against authorized requisitions.
- Maintain proper Gate Entry, Material Receipt, Material Issue, Returnable/Non-Returnable Gate Pass, and other store registers.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and highlight shortages, excess inventory, and slow-moving materials.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile physical stock with system/ERP records.
- Investigate and report discrepancies, shortages, damages, or excess stock to the concerned management.

Construction Material Management





- Maintain good knowledge of commonly used civil construction materials, including cement, steel, aggregates, bricks/blocks, waterproofing materials, tiles, plumbing materials, electrical materials, hardware, and finishing materials.
- Ensure proper storage of materials to prevent damage, deterioration, wastage, and pilferage.
- Follow appropriate FIFO/FEFO practices, wherever applicable.
- Coordinate with the Project, Procurement, Planning, and Accounts teams regarding material requirements and availability.
- Ensure timely availability of critical materials to avoid disruption of construction activities.

Vendor & Procurement Coordination

- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding material deliveries, shortages, damaged materials, replacements, and delivery schedules.
- Verify delivered materials against approved purchase orders and specifications.
- Report discrepancies and coordinate with Procurement/Vendors for timely resolution.
- Support the Procurement team by providing information regarding stock position, consumption, pending deliveries, and material requirements.
- Maintain professional and ethical relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Support management in achieving cost-effective procurement and efficient material utilization.

Inventory Control & Reporting

- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock registers through ERP/software and manual records, wherever required.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports related to material receipts, issues, consumption, stock position, and pending materials.
- Monitor material consumption against project requirements and identify unusual consumption or wastage.
- Conduct periodic stock audits and ensure timely reconciliation.
- Maintain proper documentation for internal and external audits.
- Ensure store records are complete,



accurate, and updated on a timely basis.

Team & Site Coordination

- Lead and supervise storekeepers, helpers, and other store personnel.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor the performance of the store team.
- Coordinate closely with Project Manager, Site Engineers, Procurement, Accounts, Planning, QA/QC, Security, and contractors.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, safety, and discipline within the store and material storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and project-specific procedures related to material management.

Desired Candidate Profile

Educational Qualification

- Graduate in any discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Operations, or related field will be an advantage.
- Candidates with relevant technical qualifications and extensive construction-store experience may also be considered.

Experience

- 10–20 years of relevant experience in construction-site stores/material management.
- Strong experience in high-rise residential, commercial, or large-scale building construction projects is preferred.
- Candidates with proven experience independently managing a large construction site store will be preferred.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of construction materials and site store management.
- Excellent inventory management and stock reconciliation skills.
- Good knowledge of GRN/MRN, material requisitions, issue notes, gate passes, stock registers, and related documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Working knowledge of ERP/procurement/store management software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Good vendor coordination and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and team management abilities.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and manage multiple material requirements simultaneously.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
